Hydrogen is the main component of the hydrogen-bearing gas, making about 70-98% of its. Hydrogen is applied in various industries as the main raw material, as auxiliary material or as fuel.

The main consumers of hydrogen are oil refining and petrochemical companies. Hydrogen is used to improve the quality of certain oil types, in hydrotreatment of gasoline, diesel fuel, and so on. The waste hydrogenous gas emitted as an additional product in the processes of catalytic reforming, hydrotreatment, hydrocracking, coking, etc., contains hydrogen and corrosive impurities.
